I was greeting my sweet baby girl, Kendall Louise Hart. She was 8 pounds, 10 ounces and absolutely PERFECT! I feel madly in love with her INSTANTLY! As she was making her appearance into the world, the cord was between her legs and I thought at first she was a boy (I was giving birth with the assistance of a strategically placed mirror) and my very first thought was: AHHHH! We don't have ANY boys names picked out!!!! Then I heard David saying: It's a girl, IT'S A GIRL! And my first response was: "Oh my Kendall, my Kendall!" I later apologized to David for the whole ownership thing. He laughed and told me he totally understood! I still think of her as MY KENDALL! She's my sweet, darling baby girl all grown up! I couldn't be more proud of her! She's smart, and clever, and caring, and beautiful, and AMAZING! I can't wait to see what the world has in store for her...actually I can wait. Time is going too quickly as it is~ Happy 17th Birthday My Kendall, my sweet Kendall! I'll always love you!

Wednesday Night...time to use of the greens~

Ahhhh, it's time to finish up the veggies and make room for the bounty we pick up tomorrow! I'm having a great time with our new membership at Trillium Haven Farm in Jenison. I'm hoping to get the kid to go with me and and do some weeding, too. We also pick up a flat of organic cherries (yum!) from Artisan Farms. I used two recipes I learned from the "Greens 101" class I took last Saturday. I made the greens-infused hummus and Quinoa salad substituting sun-dried tomatoes for fresh. It was DELICIOUS! For $25 we spent 3+ hours watching Chef Amy create 10 dishes using the tasty greens we've been getting from the farm. We can only eat so much salad~! Since I can't get my card out of my camera, I'll have to post them later~

YEAH MARNIE! She lent me her camera cord so I could download the photos!

Borrowed Photos

Think differently, act differently, live differently~

Awwww, this was so sweet I had to swipe it! I was scrolling through the "next blog" feature and stumbled upon several VERY cool photos. I'd like to plant this in MY yard!

myfriendkathleen...everyone should have one~

So I was trying to "google" my way to my new blog and here's what I found:
"Results 1-10 of about 14,200,000 for my friend kathleen."

So, I guess almost EVERYONE has a friend kathleen! :) There were you tube videos, prayer requests, humorous stories and anecdotes. I received my moniker from "my friend Judy" who frequently referred to me as "my friend kathleen" to her family. The name stuck and when it came time to update my email address it was one of the only ones available. Long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away I created klahart-cm4me. It was a bit difficult to remember, but I was simply trying to be clever. Creative Memories 4 me seemed like a fun tag to add to my initials. I didn't think about clients having to differentiate the hyphen "-" from an underscore "_" or that because I use my middle initials it make it harder to remember. SOOooo when it came time to switch: the simpler the better! Now I get smiles when I give out my email address. I guess everybody wants a friend kathleen!

Welcome to my next blog...

I've got a Central Library blog that is fun to post to, but it doesn't get many hits and I'm limited to the content I can post. Sometimes, as I go through my day, I think to myself: "OH! I should write about that!" or "I would like to share THIS!" I guess this is my answer. I don't know if it's going to be a bit of a pictoral journal, a place to post and share, or what. I guess it will evolve as I do.
